According to Ian Rapoport, the Seahawks are hosting QB Geno Smith for a visit on Monday.
Rapoport says there have been no contract talks between the two sides yet, but per Jordan Raanan, the Seahawks are expected to sign Smith.
This would be Smith’s fourth team in as many seasons. He’s spent the past few years with the Chargers, Giants and Jets.
It’s worth mentioning the Seahawks met with Smith last year before he ended up signing with the Chargers as a backup.
Smith, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Jets back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $5.019 million contract before signing a one-year contract worth $2 million with the Giants last year.
In 2018, Smith appeared in four games for the Chargers and completed 1 of 4 pass attempts for eight yards while also losing a fumble.
