Seahawks Figure To Be In Trade Market For Tight End

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Seahawks figure to be in the trade market for a tight end over the next few weeks after losing Will Dissly for the season to an Achilles injury.

Rapoport mentions that the Seahawks were forced to use some of their backup defensive ends including Branden Jackson as blocking tight ends in practice and could do so in the game today.

As of now, the Seahawks have Luke Willson and Jacob Hollister on their active roster at tight end. They also have Tyrone Swoopes on their practice squad and Ed Dickson on injured reserve.

There haven’t been a lot of tight end trade candidates mentioned in reports over the last month or so, but one name worth watching is Bengals TE Tyler Eifert. ESPN reporters recently tossed out Bills’ Tyler Kroft, Ravens’ Hayden Hurst, and Buccaneers’ O.J. Howard as other potential tight ends worth watching.

The most notable free agent tight ends include Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Antonio Gates, Xavier Grimble, Jermaine Gresham and Dion Sims.

We’ll have more regarding the Seahawks as the news is available.
