The Seattle Seahawks announced Tuesday that they’ve officially signed CB Byron Maxwell and placed RB C.J. Prosise on injured reserve.

- Seahawks signed LB Paul Dawson, CB Trovon Reed and S Alex Carter to their practice squad.
- Seahawks placed CB Akeem King on the practice squad injured list.
The Seahawks’ practice squad now consists of:

- QB Trevone Boykin
- WR David Moore
- DB Akeem King (Injured)

Maxwell, 29, is a former sixth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2011. He signed a six-year, $63 million contract that included $25 million guaranteed with the Eagles as a free agent before he was later traded to the Dolphins along with LB Kiko Alonso.
Maxwell was set to make a base salary of $10 million for the 2017Â season when the Dolphins released him a few weeks ago.
In 2017, Maxwell was active for just two games and recorded eight tackles, no interceptions or pass defenses and a forced fumble.
