Seahawks Worked Out Five Defensive Players

According to Aaron Wilson, the Seahawks hosted five defensive free agents for workouts on Saturday.

The full list of players includes:

  1. DB DeMarkus Acy
  2. S Brian Cole
  3. DB Jalen Julius

Cole, 23, was selected in the seventh round of this year’s draft by the Vikings. He agreed to a four-year, $3.37 million contract with Minnesota.

The Vikings opted to waive Cole a few days ago.

During his college career at Michigan and Mississippi State, Cole recorded 78 tackles, three sacks, two interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries and two passes defended.

Nelson, 25, originally signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas last year. He was waived after a month and signed with the Titans but was among their final roster cuts last preseason.

During his four year college career, Nelson recorded 109 total tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, one pass defense, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
