Seahawks Worked Out 7 Players Including TE Chase Coffman & S Jonathan Dowling

The Seahawks hosted free agent TE Chase Coffman for a tryout on Tuesday, per Howard Balzer.

Coffman, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals. He lasted a little over three years in Cincinnati before he later caught on with Falcons in 2012.

Coffman spent two years with the Falcons before he signing on with the Titans as an unrestricted free agent.Ā The Titans wereĀ flipping Coffman on and off of their active roster before being waived in October.

This season, Coffman has appeared in one game and caught four passes for 42 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Titans.

Dowling, 23, was the RaidersĀ seventh-round pick back in May of last year out ofĀ Western Kentucky. His rookie season was cut short after he was placed on season-ending injured reserve in December.

The Raiders ultimately elected to cut him loose back in late August, but he later caught on with the DolphinsĀ at the start of the season. Since then, he’s been on and off of the team’s practice squad.

In 2014, Dowling appearing inĀ seven games and recording four tackles while playing a total of 13 snaps, according Pro Football Focus.
