Steelers Activate OLB T.J. Watt From PUP List

Field Yates reports that Steelers OLB T.J. Watt has passed his physical on Sunday and been removed from the PUP list.

Watt was placed on the PUP list with a hamstring injury a few weeks ago.

Watt, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Steelers back in 2017. He’s in the third year of his four-year, $9.258 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $1.3 million and $1.72 million over the next two years.

The Steelers have a fifth-year option to pick up on Watt for the 2021 season.

In 2018, Watt appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers and recorded 68 tackles, 13 sacks, six forced fumbles and three pass defenses.
