Steelers DB Kameron Kelly Arrested

According to WPXI, Steelers DB Kameron Kelly was arrested Friday morning at a bar in Pittsburgh.

Kelly was allegedly being disorderly and became confrontational with an officer who told him he had to leave.

WPXI says the complaint against Kelly says he threatened to knock out an employee at the bar after his music selection was skipped over on the jukebox.

A police officer accidentally stepped on the foot of a woman, who Kelly says was “his girl.” He then pushed his chest against the officer and threatened him, per the police report.

Police say Kelly resisted arrest and argued with officers, one of whom punched Kelly in the face multiple times. From there, Kelly was transported to a hospital and treated for a busted lip before heading to jail.

Kelly is being charged with resisting arrest and terroristic threats.

Kelly, 23, wound up going undrafted out of San Diego State back in 2018. He later signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Cowboys, but was waived coming out of the preseason.

Kelly played in the now-defunct AAF before the Steelers signed him to a one-year deal this past April. He managed to make the team coming out of the preseason.

In 2019, Kelly has appeared in 14 games for the Steelers and recorded 20 tackles, an interception and a pass defense.
