Steelers Release CB Curtis Brown

The agent for Steelers’ CB Curtis Brown announced via his Twitter account that the team has made the decision to release his client.

Brown, 25, still had one year remaining on his rookie contract and was set to make $645,000 for the 2014 season. He had a cap figure of $775,300 and the Steelers will gain $645,000 in cap saving by releasing him, according to OverTheCap.com.

Last year, Brown was active for seven games and totaled seven tackles for the Steelers.
