Allen, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract in Kansas City before signing a four-year, $28 million contract that included $12 million guaranteed with the Texans back in 2016.
Allen has two years remaining on the agreement and stands to make base salaries of $5.75 million and $6 million in 2018 and 2019.
In 2017, Allen appeared in 12 games for the Texans and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 69 guard out of 77 qualifying players.
