Texans Promote DE Ufomba Kamalu To Active Roster

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans have promoted DE Ufomba Kamalu to their active roster on Friday.

Kamalu, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May. He was unfortunately unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and was later signed to their practice squad.

During his college career at Miami, Kamalu recorded 94 tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, eight sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and two pass defenses.
