Texans Re-Sign RB Jonathan Grimes To A One-Year Deal

Sunny Shah, the agent for RB Jonathan Grimes, announced via his Twitter account Friday that his client has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Texans.

Grimes was in line to be a restricted free agent, but the Texans did not tender him a contract a few weeks ago, which allowed him to become a restricted free agent.

Grimes, 26, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of William & Mary back in 2012. Since entering the league, Grimes has played for the Texans, Jets and Jaguars before returning to Houston in 2014.

In 2015, Grimes appeared in 14 games for the Texans and ran for 282 yards on 56 carries (5 YPC) to go along with 26 receptions for 173 yards receiving and two total touchdowns.
