Texans Waive WR DeAndrew White From Injured Reserve With Settlement

The Houston Texans announced Monday that they’ve waived WR DeAndrew White from injured reserve with a settlement.

White, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Alabama back in May of last year before signing a three-year, $1.582 million contract with the 49ers. He was set to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2016 season when the 49ers cut him at the start of the 2016 season.

The Patriots later signed him to their practice squad a few weeks into the regular season and brought him back during the offseason. After New England cut him loose in June, White signed on with the Texans a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately, White was placed on injured reserve with a “severe” groin injury last week.

In 2015, White appeared four games for the 49ers and caught two passes for 18 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
