Texans Parting Ways With 4 Coaches Including Special Teams Coordinator Larry Izzo

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans and special teams coordinator Larry Izzo have mutually agreed to part ways.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Texans are also parting ways with RBs coach Charles London and DBs coach John Butler.
  • Aaron Wilson reports that assistant special teams coordinator Doug Colman has also been fired.

Izzo, 43, played 15 years in the NFL for the Dolphins, Patriots and Jets. He sat out the 2010 season before being hired by the Giants as their assistant special teams coordinator in 2011.

After four years in New York, Izzo departed to become the special teams coordinator of the Texans.
