According to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Titans have been fined $350,000 by the NFL for violations of the COVID-19 protocols that resulted in an outbreak in the Tennessee organization.
The Titans were fined for instances of not wearing masks when required and for insufficiently clear communication on workouts outside the team facility. No individuals, including GM Jon Robinson or HC Mike Vrabel, were fined.
Sources say the Titans were fully compliant with the joint NFL and NFLPA investigation by providing documents and videos and facilitating interviews.
That along with the effort the Titans put into making their facility compliant with the protocols this offseason helped the organization avoid more serious punishments like forfeited games or being stripped of draft picks.
Further violations of the protocols by the Titans will result in heavier penalties, however.
The team is set to play the Pittsburgh Steelers today in a game that was initially postponed after the Titans outbreak back in Week 4.
Over two dozen players and coaches ended up testing positive for the virus and the team facility was shut down for the better part of two weeks.
