Albert Breer of SI.com reports that the Titans are hiring Patriots college scouting director Monti Ossenfort as their Titans as director of player personnel.
Reports surfaced earlier in the day that Ossenfort was likely to depart for a job with a different team and it appears as though the Titans proved to be his best option.
Ossenfort has ties for Titans GM Jon Robinson and HC Mike Vrabel from their time together in New England.
The Browns actually interviewed Ossenfort for their GM vacancy before hiring Andrew Berry this past January.
Ossenfort was entering his 14th year with the Patriots. He got his start in New England as an area scout before moving up the ranks to national scout and assistant director of college scouting. He was promoted to his current position in 2016.
