Titans Prepared To Franchise TE Jared Cook On Monday?

Titans Insider Terry McCormick expects Tennessee to franchise TE Jared Cook on Monday.

Cook is reportedly prepared to argue that he should be considered wide receiver given that he lined up as a receiver 67 percent of the time last season. This is a difference of close to $4.5 million.

We wrote yesterday that there’s a precedent for arbitrators splitting the difference in these types of situations, which would leave Cook with a one-year guaranteed salary of $8.3 million.
