Adam Schefter is reporting that the Titans have released veteran DTย Al Woods on Wednesday.
Woods, 29, is a former fourth-round pick of the Saints back in 2010. However, he lasted just a few months in New Orleans before he was waived at the start of the 2010 season.
After a brief stint with the Steelers, Woods was claimed off of waivers by the Buccaneers, but his stay was once again short lived. He later signed with the Seahawks before returning to the Steelers in 2011.
The Titans elected to sign him to a contract in March of 2014. Woods signed a three-year, $10.5 million contract with the Titans last year.
According toย OverTheCap.com,ย releasing Woods willย free up $2,187,500 of available cap space while creating $1.5 million in dead money.
In 2016, Woods appeared in 12 games for the Titans and recorded 18 tackles and no sacks.
