Titans Sign 5 Players Including DL Jimmy Staten, Cut Two

The Tennessee Titans announced Monday that they’ve signed five players to contracts including DL Jimmy Staten, DL Cameron Robbins, LB Johnny Ragin, CB Trevon Hartfield and K Jordan Gay.

The Titans also placed DL Roderick Henderson and LB Reshard Cliett on waivers.

Staten, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Seahawks back in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster but was later added to their practice squad. Seattle elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract only to waive him soon after.

Staten has had brief stints with the Giants, Patriots and Chiefs before he caught on with the Bears a few weeks into the regular season. He was one and off of the Bears’ practice squad for much of the season before eventually signing on to the Falcons’ practice squad in January.

Atlanta brought Staten back on a future/reserve contract a few months ago only to cut him loose last month.

Staten has yet to appear in an NFL game.
