Titans Sign Rookie DL DaQuan Jones & DB Marqueston Huff

The Tennessee Titans announced that they have signed fourth-round picks DL DaQuan Jones and DB Marqueston Huff to four-year contracts.

These are first draft pick signings for the Titans to be completed since the draft concluded this past weekend.

Jones was actually a very good value in the fourth round given that some evaluators believed he could come off the board as early as round two.

At Penn State, he totaled 86 tackles, 13.5 for a loss, 3.5 sacks and a pass defensed over the course of three years. He should develop into a decent run-stopper for the Titans in the coming years, but he has a lot to work on in regards to getting after the quarterback.

Huff is a converted safety after spending the first three years of his college career as a cornerback. In four seasons at Wyoming, Huff totaled 249 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, six interceptions, three forced fumbles and two recoveries for touchdowns.

It’s doubtful he’ll see much playing time in year one outside of special teams given that he’ll probably be behind Bernard Pollard and George Wilson.
