Titans Won’t Lose Draft Picks For COVID-19 Outbreak, Facing Potential Fine

Adam Schefter reports that the NFL informed the Titans that their review of the COVID-19 outbreak has officially concluded.

Schefter says the Titans were fully cooperative during the investigation in which the team’s facility was inspected and found to be in compliance.

According to Schefter, there were incidents of people not wearing masks and there was insufficient communication regarding player workouts outside the facility.

Schefter adds that individuals will not be disciplined and there is no discussion of forfeiture of draft picks. However, the Titans’ organization will face a potential fine.

Several players and coaches tested positive, which led to their facility being closed.

A number of reports mentioned that Tennessee could be looking at historical fines from the league for their handling of the situation, even though the Titans maintained that they didn’t willfully ignore NFL protocols.

Other teams around the league were reportedly expecting the NFL to come down hard on Tennessee. However, it appears as though the Titans may only come away with a fine in the end.
