The Buffalo Bills announced Friday that they’ve traded DE Eli Harold to the Eagles for OL Ryan Bates.
Harold, 25, is a former third-round pick of the 49ers back in 2015. He was traded to the Lions last year for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2020.
Harold played out the final year of his four-year, $3.071 million contract before agreeing to a one-year contract with the Bills this offseason.
In 2018, Harold appeared in 13 games for the Lions and recorded 10 tackles, four sacks and a pass defense.
Bates, 22, wound up going undrafted out of Penn State back in May. He agreed to a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Eagles soon after.
During his college career at PSU, Bates started 40 games, primarily at left tackle, and was a third-team All-Big Ten selection in 2018.
