TRADE: Chiefs Trade LB D.J. Alexander To Seahawks For LB Kevin Pierre-Louis

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they’ve traded LB D.J. Alexander to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for LB Kevin Pierre-Louis.

Alexander, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,473,252 contract and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the remainder of the contract.

In 2016, Alexander appeared in all 16 games for the Chiefs and recorded 17 tackles, no sacks, and a forced fumble.

Pierre-Louis, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2014. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.605 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $690,000 for the 2017 season before testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent next year.

In 2016, Pierre-Louis appeared in 13 games for the Seahawks and recorded 12 tackles and no sacks.
