Albert Breer says Browns TEDavid Njoku isn’t necessarily on the trade block, but Cleveland will field calls on him before the deadline.
Breer says the emergence of rookie Harrison Bryant has left the Browns with a surplus at tight end, which is why it’s possible Njoku could be on the move.
Njoku has reportedly revived his trade demands in recent days.
Albert Breer of SI.com reports that before the dismissal of Falcons HC Dan Quinn and GM Thomas Dimitroff, Atlanta had considered trading off some of their players including former first-round DE Takk McKinley.
However, Breer says that the Falcons’ plans leading up to the trade deadline are now less clear.
Breer says the team is giving off the impression that they want to give Raheem Morris a shot with the current group and leave the big decisions up to whoever the next GM and coach end up being.
