The Minnesota Vikings officially claimed TE Blake Bell off of waivers from the 49ers on Sunday.
Bell, 26, is a former fifth-round pick by the 49ers in the 2015 NFL Draft. He is entering the third year of a four-year, $2.785 million rookie contract that included a $505,132 signing bonus and is set to earn a base salary of $615,000, this year.
He landed on the team’s injured reserve in December and was waived on Saturday as the team trimmed down to the 53-man limit.
In 2016, Bell was active for 13 games for the 49ers and recorded four receptions for 85 yards receiving.
