This opens a three-week window of time for the Vikings to activate them from injured reserve and add them to their 53-man roster.
The Vikings placed Elflein on injured reserve last month.
Elflein, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Vikings back in 2017. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $3.74 million contract and set to make base salaries of $899,500 for the 2020 season.
In 2019, Elflein appeared in 15 games for the Vikings and making 15 starts.
