Vikings Place CB Jabari Price On Season-Ending I.R. & Promote LB Brandon Watts

The Minnesota Vikings announced Tuesday that they’ve placed CB Jabari Price on season-ending injured reserve and promoted LB Brandon Watts to their active roster.

  • The Vikings also signed FB Blake Renaud and LB Terrance Plummer to their practice squad, and released WR Donte Foster from the unit.

Price, 22, was taken in the seventh round last year’s NFL draft. He still has three years remaining on his four-year, $2,281,820 rookie contract, which includes a base salary of $510,000 for the 2015 season.

He wound up being suspended two games for violating substance-abuse policy. He plead guilty to a careless driving charge following a DWI arrest back in December of last year.

Last year, Price appeared in 14 games for the Vikings and recorded 10 tackles.
