Vikings Place Three On COVID-19 List Including DE Ifeadi Odenigbo

The Minnesota Vikings announced Wednesday that they’ve placed DE Ifeadi Odenigbo, LB Cameron Smith and T Oli Udoh on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.

Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.

Odenigbo, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Vikings back in 2017. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Vikings’ practice squad.

Minnesota brought him back on a futures contract last year only to waive him during the 2018 season. Odenigbo wound up being claimed by the Browns and later had a brief stint with the Cardinals before returning to the Vikings.

In 2019, Odenigbo appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and recorded 23 tackles, seven sacks, a forced fumble, two recoveries and a defensive touchdown.
