Vikings Sign RB Bronson Hill, Waive/Injured RB Bishop Sankey

The Minnesota Vikings announced Saturday that they’ve signed RB Bronson Hill to a contract following a workout.

The Vikings also waived RB Bishop Sankey with an injury designation, which means he’ll revert to their injured reserve list if he clears waivers on Sunday.

Hill, 24, wound up signing on with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Michigan back in August of 2015. He lasted just a few weeks in Buffalo before he signed on to the Bears practice squad at the start of the 2015 season.

Hill had brief stints with the Dolphins, Saints and Bengals before signing on to the Jaguars’ practice squad at the start of last year. Unfortunately, Jacksonville elected to cut Hill loose shortly after this year’s draft.

In 2016, Hill appeared in three games and rushed for 11 yards on two carries and no touchdowns.
