Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph Possible Trade Target For Patriots?

According to Albert Breer, the Vikings could end up getting calls from teams inquiring about a number of veteran players, as there’s a perception out there they may try to move a bigger contract.

Breer wouldn’t be surprised if the Patriots expressed trade interest in TE Kyle Rudolph over the next 48 hours if they don’t land a tight end prospect in this year’s draft. According to Breer, New England has done their homework on Rudolph in the past, and he’d bring a proven commodity with actual experience in a program like theirs.

Other Vikings players worth watching for the Vikings could include CBs Xavier Rhodes and Trae Waynes and WR Laquon Treadwell.

Rudolph, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Vikings back in 2011. He’s currently in the final year of his five-year, $36,500,000 contract and stands to make a base salary $7,275,000 for the 2019 season.

Rudolph will be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.

In 2018, Rudolph appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and caught 64 passes for 634 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
