San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh mentioned that he was not impressed by the stamina of his rookies, which includes first-round pick WR A.J. Jenkins, per Matt Barrows.
Barrows adds that the rookies “were flagging” by the halfway point.
This obviously a little concerning as many analysts saw Jenkins as a reach by the 49ers. Fortunately for them, there’s plenty of time to get these guys in shape for the upcoming season.
San Francisco added some big name receivers to go along with Jenkins like Randy Moss and Mario Manningham, but he’ll have to get into shape in the coming weeks to push these guys for a starting job.
