Chiefs Signing Veteran DT Roy Miller To One-Year Deal

The Kansas City Chiefs are signing veteran DT Roy Miller to a one-year contract on Wednesday, according to his agent Mike McCartney.

Miller, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2009. He spent four years in Tampa Bay before signing a five-year, $18.63 million contract that included $1.975 million guaranteed on with the Jaguars in 2013.

Miller was set to make a base salary of $3,637,500 for the 2017 season when the Jaguars released him in a move that freed up $3,962,500 of available cap space this past March.

In 2016, Miller appeared in six games and recorded 10 tackles and no sacks for the Jaguars. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 156 total snaps last season.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
