Peyton Manning & Bill Polian Could Team Up To Run Titans In 2016?

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, there has been “persistent chatter” in league circles that Peyton Manning could join his former general manager Bill Polian in the Titans’ front office next year.

La Canfora points out that the Titans will have an opening at team president after the season has concluded, and ownership is known to have interest in bringing Manning back to Tennessee.

Of course, there’s still a chance that Manning could decide not to retire and instead return for the 2016 season.

Even so, La Canfora mentions that Manning’s interest in running or owning an NFL team is widely known around the league.

La Canfora mentions that Manning has obvious ties to the state of Tennessee and has remained close with Polian in recent years.

La Canfora lays out a scenario in which the Titans could hire Manning as their football czar, Polian as team president, Chris Polian as general manager, and either Doug Marrone or Bears OC Adam Gase as their next head coach.

This is certainly an interesting suggestion, and one that the Titans would probably strongly consider if it ends up being a real possibility for them next year.

We’ll have more regarding the Titans and potential front office changes as the news is available.
