Browns

  • Josina Anderson reports that former Colts OC Pep Hamilton is being considered for the position of assistant head coach/offense with the Browns.

Buccaneers

  • Alex Marvez reports that the Buccaneers are hiring Jon Hoke as their new DBs coach.

Jets

Jets GM Mike Maccagnan mentioned that Bryce Petty can be a quality No. 2 quarterback, but it will be up to him when if comes to developing into a starter.

“We feel, ability-wise, he can definitely be a quality No. 2,” Maccagnan said. “The rest is kind of up to him. He has the physical ability to potentially be a starting-caliber quarterback, but he still has to do it on the field and in the preseason, so we can kind of see where he’s at. We’re excited to work with him.

Titans

  • Adam Schefter reports that Titans ownership has insisted to candidates interviewing for positions that they are not selling the franchise.
  • Pro Football Talk mentions that even though the Titans maintain that the team isn’t for sale, issues with NFL over their ownership structure could force their hand at some point.
