NFL Notes: Jason Pierre-Paul, Eagles, Giants, Packers, & Titans

Jason Pierre-Paul

  • Les Bowen points out that all of the Eagles’ assistant coaches are under contract through the 2016 season, which means Chip Kelly can’t just hire anyone from his former staff without consent from the Eagles.

  • Mike Garafolo reports that the Giants are not retaining DL coach Robert Nunn.

Packers impending free agent CB Casey Hayward said he believes he played well overall in 2015, but the team’s depth at cornerback could lead to him moving on.

I played well all year. I think people can throw on the film and see that,” Hayward said, per Michael Cohen. “…They’ve got some young guys here. Pretty sure they want these young guys to play regardless of if I’m here or not.

Hayward did add that he would like to return to Green Bay next year.

“Hopefully I have another three or four years here,” Hayward said, per Cohen. “If not, I appreciate everybody. This organization has been great here.”

  • Mike Garafolo reports that the Titans are interviewing Giants DL coach Robert Nunn for the same position on their coaching staff.
