Jets Signed CFL DE Freddie Bishop To A Futures Deal

The Jets announced that they’ve signed CFL DE Freddie Bishop to a reserve/future deal on Tuesday.

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.

Bishop, 25, originally signed on with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Western Michigan back in 2013. He lasted just over a month in Detroit before he was waived.

During his three seasons with Calagry, Bishop recorded 60 tackles, 14 sacks, a forced fumble and a pass defense.
