Last weekend, 15 teams sent scouts to Los Angeles to workout NRL stars Jason Taumalolo and Valentine Holmes, according to the Australian Associated Press.
The two rugby players impressed during the two-hour session, but it remains to be seen if either player will receive a contract.
Scouts indicated that Taumalolo could play fullback, tight end or linebacker in the NFL while Holmes could be better suited playing wide receiver or safety.
The two players are still committed to playing rugby in 2017 for their respective teams, so there’s some question as to when they could attempt to make an NFL roster.
The teams in attendance for the workouts included the Eagles, Jets, 49ers, Bears, Colts, Jaguars, Browns, Bills, Chiefs, Rams, Cardinals, Packers, Chargers and Seahawks.
We’ll have more regardingย Taumalolo and Holmes as the news is available.
