49ers LS Kyle Nelson Suspended 10 Games

Field Yates of ESPN reports that 49ers LS Kyle Nelson has been suspended for the next 10 weeks of the regular season for an undisclosed violation.

Nelson, 32, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of New Mexico State back in 2011. He’s played for a number of teams over the years including the Chiefs, 49ers, Eagles, Chargers, Seahawks and Redskins.

San Francisco signed Nelson to a four-year, $3.48 million contract back in 2015 and he stands to make a base salary of $975,000 for the 2018 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent next year.

In 2018, Nelson has appeared in 12 games for the 49ers.
