49ers Sign WR Jeremy Kerley To Three-Year, $10.5M Deal

ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Adam Caplan are reporting that the 49ers have signed WR Jeremy Kerley to a new three-year, $10.5 million contract on Saturday.

This seems like a pretty reasonable deal for the 49ers, especially if Kerley is able to build on his productive first year in San Francisco.

Kerley, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Jets back in 2011. He spent five years in New York before he was released back in March of last year and later signed to a one-year contract worth over $1 million by the Lions.

Detroit elected to trade Kerley to the 49ers in exchange for OL Brandon Thomas coming out of the preseason later year.

In 2016, Kerley appeared in all 16 games for the 49ers and caught 64 passes for 667 yards receiving and three touchdowns. He also contributed 158 punt return yards for San Francisco. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 49 receiver out of 115 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Top 100 – 2017 Free Agents list.
