Bills
- Bills DE Jerry Hughes underwent wrist surgery in recent days. Hughes’ wife, Meghan, posted a picture Thursday on Instagram.
- This is the second offseason surgery for Hughes, who previously had groin surgery.
Dolphins
- The Dolphins announced that they have hired Gerald Alexander as defensive backs coach, Anthony Campanile as linebackers coach and Lemuel Jeanpierre as assistant offensive line coach.
- The Dolphins also promoted Karl Dorrell to assistant head coach/wide receivers and Josh Grizzard to assistant wide receivers coach. Rob Leonard will also serve as an assistant defensive line coach.
- Cameron Wolfe of ESPN takes a look at some free agent offensive linemen the Dolphins could pursue this offseason including Titans OT Jack Conklin, Patriots G Joe Thuney, Redskins G Brandon Scherff, Packers OT Bryan Bulaga, Lions G Graham Glasgow, Seahawks OL Germain Ifedi and Patriots C Ted Karras.
- Some defensive free agents to watch for Miami, according to Wolfe, may include Jacksonville’s Yannick Ngakoue, Seattle’s Jadeveon Clowney, Tampa Bay’s Shaquil Barrett, Pittsburgh’s Bud Dupree, Baltimore’s Matthew Judon, Buffalo’s Shaq Lawson, New England’s Kyle Van Noy, Titans cornerback Logan Ryan, Patriots defensive tackle Danny Shelton, Texans defensive tackle D.J. Reader and Broncos safety Justin Simmons.
Patriots
- Doug Kyed of NESN writes that if the Vikings are willing to trade WR Stefon Diggs this offseason, he should be a priority for the Patriots.
- Kyed mentions LB Danny Trevathan, FB Kyle Juszczyk, DL Leonard Williams, WR Danny Amendola and TE Tyler Eifert as free agents he finds interesting for the Patriots.
- Bruce Feldman reports that the Patriots are hiring Alabama staffer Joe Houston as their assistant special teams coordinator.
