AFC East Notes: Bills, Jets, Patriots

Bills

Bills DT Jordan Phillips says he’s eager to play against his former team this weekend after they cut him midseason.

“Most people that leave Miami, that’s really when their career gets started,” Phillips said, via the Associated Press. “Things have definitely turned around since I’ve been here. Fans love me. My teammates love me.”

“Whoever has something coming to them is going to get it on Sunday,” Phillips added.

Jets

  • When asked about who they’ll start at quarterback in Week 13, Jets HC Todd Bowles said: “We’ll see who’s the healthiest.
  • Albert Breer tosses out John Harbaugh as a potential target for the Jets if/when they move on from Todd Bowles after the season and assuming Harbaugh is fired by the Ravens.
  • Robby Anderson, who is in line to be a restricted free agent in 2019, says he’s hoping to get a long-term deal done with Jet, as opposed to playing out the year under a one-year tender. (NFLTR)

Patriots

Patriots WR Josh Gordon says it’s “different” and “exciting” to be at this point in the season with something to play for.

“It’s different, that’s for sure,” Gordon said, via ESPN.com. “It’s exciting. It’s motivational for me, and for everybody. I’ve never really got the opportunity before, considering the circumstances. So it’s great to have the opportunity now.”

  • Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski was re-added to the injury report on Thursday with ankle and back issues.
