AFC North Notes: Bengals, Browns, Ravens, Steelers

Bengals

• Josina Anderson reports that the Bengals chose not to claim former Patriots WR Josh Gordon off waivers Friday because they’re comfortable with their receiving corps.  
• The Cleveland Browns officially ruled out TE Pharaoh Brown (concussion), DT Daniel Ekuale (calf), S Eric Murray (knee), and S Damarious Randall (hamstring) for Week 9’s game and list T Kendall Lamm (knee) as questionable.

Browns

• Browns S Eric Murray underwent knee surgery on Friday and is considered “week-to-week” with his return. (Nate Ulrich)
• Browns promoted TE Stephen Carlson to their active roster. (NFLTR)
• Browns placed DT Daniel Ekuale on injured reserve. 

Ravens

• The Baltimore Ravens officially list WR Marquise Brown (ankle, thigh), CB Maurice Canady (thigh), S Bennett Jackson (ankle), G Patrick Mekari (back), LB Patrick Onwuasor (ankle), CB Jimmy Smith (knee), S Earl Thomas (knee) as questionable for Week 9’s game.
• Ravens placed DB Denzel Rice on the practice squad injured list.

Steelers

• Ian Rapoport reports that the Steelers have been fined $75,000 and HC Mike Tomlin was also fined $25,000 for violating the NFL Injury Report Policy by not accurately listing QB Ben Roethlisberger on the practice report prior to the team’s Week 2 game against the Seahawks.
• The Pittsburgh Steelers officially ruled out G Ramon Foster (concussion) and RB Benny Snell (knee) for Week 9’s game and list RB James Conner (shoulder) as questionable.
• The Steelers also have RB Roosevelt Nix (knee) down as questionable.
