Browns
- Browns S Grant Delpit received an honorable mention on a top-10 safeties poll of coaches and execs around the league, via ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler: “He can blitz, cover tight ends, aggressive, instinctive. He would be up there if he had more ball production,” an AFC executive said.
- Cleveland LB Carson Schwesinger was voted as the third-best off-ball linebacker in a poll of coaches and execs around the league: “He’s [Luke] Kuechly reincarnated,” a personnel executive with an NFL team said. “Elite speed, athleticism, instincts, ball skills.” (Fowler)
- “Plays fast, excellent instincts, good in coverage,” a high-ranking AFC evaluator said. “Impressive for a rookie.” (Fowler)
Ravens
Ravens WR Rashod Bateman dealt with an ankle injury for most of the 2025 season after signing a three-year, $36.75 million extension. Baltimore GM Eric DeCosta couldn’t contain his excitement to get Bateman acclimated under new OC Declan Doyle after deeming last year “kind of a lost season” for the wideout.
“He’s a phenomenal athlete. Great route-runner. Rashod, it’s right there in front of him. He’s shown flashes of being a real problem for other teams,” DeCosta said, via 105.7 The Fan. “His mindset is good. I’m really, really excited to see how he does this year with Declan in this offense. Everybody’s excited about him. He’s got a lot of opportunities this year. Last year was just kind of a lost season in some ways, but that’s no indication of the type of player that we think he is and how he can help us. I love the guy. I know he’s probably his biggest critic, but he’s a playmaker, and I expect him to have a great year this year. I’m excited about him and I can’t wait to see how he looks in this offense.”
Steelers
Steelers WR Michael Pittman, Jr. said that Pittsburgh has a great wide receiver room and WR DK Metcalf is the leader of it.
“DK [Metcalf] has been great,” Pittman said, via ESPN. “I think me and him are going to do well and like obviously if teams are going to double-team him, then that’s going to leave me free. If they’re going to double-team me, it’s going to leave him free. So it’s going to be great. And then we got Germ [Germie Bernard] and Rome [Roman Wilson], too. We’re not shorthanded on pass catchers.”
Steelers HC Mike McCarthy values his receivers being able to play multiple positions. Pittman said he’s up for the challenge and is comfortable both inside and out.
“I played every single spot so far, just being able to move around because you never know what happens during the course of the NFL season,” Pittman said. “Going to keep on dialing like that in. … We’ve all been moving around.”
McCarthy added that he’s impressed with WR Roman Wilson‘s work ethic and said that he’s put in the time to become one of the team’s top three receivers.
“He’s been here from Day 1,” McCarthy said of Wilson. “He was one of the first men to reach out and clearly ask what the expectation was of him, how I view him, how I saw him fitting in as the roles X, F and Z. He’s doing the work. He’s had a great offseason. I just need him to keep showing up and keep working his tail off because he’s got a skill set, there’s a lot there to work with. Roman’s done a really nice job.“
