AFC Trade Rumors: Browns, Dolphins, Jets, Patriots

Browns

  • According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Browns don’t want to trade TE David Njoku but with their depth at the position it might end up making the most sense. Rapoport thinks Cleveland could get a fourth-round pick for Njoku.
  • Adam Schefter reports that Njoku could be on the move following his prior trade request and the fact that Cleveland has a surplus at tight end.

Dolphins

  • According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Dolphins RB Jordan Howard has been the subject of some trade calls and could be moved.

Jets

Patriots

  • According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the sense is the Patriots won’t end up being sellers before Tuesday’s trade deadline, as they don’t have a lot of big pieces to move outside of CB Stephon Gilmore and Rapoport believes the speculation with him is more smoke than fire.
  • ESPN’s Mike Reiss doesn’t get the sense New England has actively shopped Gilmore in recent weeks but adds a first or second-round pick would likely be enough for the team to part with the veteran corner now, though his injury adds another complication.
  • CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora says the Patriots have been one of the more aggressive teams in discussions looking to both add and trade players but the sense is there aren’t many players they could trade away.
