Bears Pull Off Trade For WR Brandon Marshall

Jay Glazer reports that the Chicago Bears have just pulled off a trade for Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall. Chicago will send two third-round picks to Miami in return for the Pro Bowl wideout.

Marshall has said that he would love to play with his former quarterback Jay Cutler in the past few months and Cutler has done nothing but rave about Marshall as well.

This is a huge move for the Bears as they now have a legitimate receiving threat and only gave up two mid-round picks in return for him.

  1. Still plenty of room to make moves within the cap, get the gang back together all the way and bring in both Hillis and royal.YES BRING THE BRONCS TO THE WINDY CITY!! Okay now that my excitement is cooled for a while after this. I wonder what is going to be next for Chicago.

  2. We scored big time on that one…I think this is a steal for the Bears, keeps us from having to rely on a first round draft pick wr…didn’t cost us terribly much, although I dont know what it does to our 23.5 cap room

    • Great move for Chicago! Marshall will make $9.3 million for the 2012 season and a good amount of that appears to guaranteed. Still, the Bears will have plenty of room to make more moves.
