Bears Waive LB DeDe Lattimore, Sign WR Jeremy Kelley

The Chicago Bears signed WR Jeremy Kelley to a one-year contract and placed LB DeDe Lattimore on waivers Saturday.

Lattimore, 24, signed a two-year contract extension with the Bears back in January. At the time, he was set to be an exclusive rights free agent, but the Bears clearly wanted to see what he was capable of this summer.

Chicago signed Lattimore as an undrafted free agent out of South Florida back in May of last year. Coming out of the preseason, Lattimore was unable to make the 53-man roster and was later added to the team’s practice squad.

In 2014, Lattimore would go on to appear in 10 games and recorded three tackles for the Bears in 2014.
