Wren is seeking a second opinion before making a final decision on surgery, which would probably send him to injured reserve.

The Bengals have suffered a series of hits to their interior defensive line and losing Wren is just the latest blow. Wren also ended the 2019 season on injured reserve.

Wren, 24, was selected in the fourth round by the Bengals out of Arizona State in 2019. He signed a four-year, $3,202,596 contract and stands to make base salaries of $675,000 and $735,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2019, Wren appeared in 11 games for the Bengals and recorded eight tackles and no sacks.
