Bengals WR A.J. Green (Toe) Does Not Need Surgery, Expected To Miss At Least Two Games

Bengals HC Marvin Lewis told reporters on Monday that WR A.J. Green does not need surgery for his toe injury, per Katherine Terrell.

  • Adam Schefter confirms the news and adds that Green is expected to miss at least two games before doctors re-evaluate his foot injury to determine when he can play again.

Green visited foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in Green Bay after his toe swelled up.

Green, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2011. He’s currently in the fourth year of his five-year, $70.176 million contract that included $26.75 million guaranteed and set to make base salaries of $10.55 million and $11.97 million over the remainder of the agreement.

In 2018, Green has appeared eight games for the Bengals and caught 45 passes for 687 yards receiving and six touchdowns.
