Bills Release TE Scott Chandler, Free Up $2.25M In Cap Space

The Buffalo Bills announce Wednesday that they have released veteran TE Scott Chandler.

You would have to think that this is a precursor to the Bills making Dolphins TE Charles Clay a serious offer in an attempt to pry him away from Miami.

Chandler, 29, appeared in all 16 games last year and caught 47 passes for 497 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Chandler will free up $2.25 million in available cap space while creating $600,000 in dead money.
