Bills Sign CB Ellis Lankster, Waive CB Lavelle Westbrooks

The Buffalo Bills announced the signing of CB Ellis Lankster on Monday, as well as the release of CB Lavelle Westbrooks.

Lankster, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Bills, but he lasted just over a year with Buffalo before he signed on with the Jets in 2011.

He spent just over three years in New York with the Jets, so Rex Ryan is plenty familiar with him as a player.

In 2014, Lankster appeared in just two games and recorded four tackles.

Westbrooks, 23, is a former seventh-round pick of the Bengals back in 2014. He was unable to make the team coming out of the preseason and was placed on waivers with an injury settlment.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
