Brady Quinn Has Been Cleared To Play

Chiefs quarterback Brady Quinn says he was cleared by a Pittsburgh doctor before Monday night’s loss to the Steelers, per Randy Covitz of the Kansas City Star.

“I’m real excited,” Quinn said, via Covitz. “I was glad to be able to come with the team and being around them again because it stinks not being around these guys and not feeling like you’re a part of them.”

Quinn has missed two games since he suffered his concussion during a loss to the Raiders on Oct. 28th. There was some concern about Quinn’s concussion as he had sustained one in the preseason against the Packers. It’s unknown if Quinn will start for the Chiefs this Sunday against the Bengals. Covitz noted that head coach Romeo Crennel had said that Quinn would’ve been named the Chiefs starter over Matt Cassel had he been cleared for Week 9’s game against the Chargers, but Crennel has not said since if Quinn would return as the Chiefs starter.
